AWSA Recognizes John Forester’s ServiceAWSA presented John Forester with its Outstanding Service Award at the Elementary Principals’ Convention in October. John is retiring this December after leading the School Administrators Alliance for twenty years.

by President Nicki Ells and Executive Director Jim Lynch The SAA was formed in 1992 when AWSA and WASDA (WI Association of School District Administrators) joined forces in advocacy. Today, in addition to AWSA and WASDA, the alliance includes the WI Association of School Business Officials, the WI Association of School Personnel Administrators, and the WI Council of Administrators of Special Services. John was presented with a framed photo of President Abraham Lincoln with the following inscription: "Upon the subject of education, I can only say that I view it as the most important subject which we as a people can be engaged in." |
